Vair Beauty is a premium DTC haircare brand built around targeted, result-driven formulations — from neutralizing yellow tones to deep repair and hydration. Launched with a curated catalog of ~13 products (shampoos, conditioners, masks, serums, sets and accessories), the brand prioritizes clear product benefits and an elevated visual identity to stand out in the DACH market (Germany · Austria · Switzerland). WebbyCrown partnered with U&MI Design to translate that visual identity into a pixel-accurate custom Shopify theme, optimized for performance and conversion. Key Challenges

Vair Beauty launched with a design-first identity and a compact, curated catalog (~13 SKUs), which created a tight set of design, technical and commercial constraints. Our brief was simple-sounding but hard to deliver all at once: preserve pixel-perfect visual fidelity from U&MI Design, while delivering a fast, localized DACH shopping experience that reliably converts and scales.

  • Pixel-perfect Adobe XD → Shopify conversion: Translating complex, brand-forward layouts into a maintainable, componentized Shopify theme without bloating the DOM or harming performance.
  • DACH localization complexity: Multi-language UX, multi-currency presentation, regional tax and shipping rules must behave correctly cross Germany · Austria · Switzerland while keeping the shopping flow simple.
  • Checkout friction & local payments: Buyers in the DACH region expect local, trusted payment rails (Klarna, local cards, Apple Pay). Surface the right options per-region and minimize abandonment.
  • Bundles & AOV without cognitive load: Introduce curated bundles and contextual upsells that increase average order value (AOV) but do not confuse shoppers on PDPs or at checkout.

Each challenge directly affected conversion, AOV and long-term retention, so our solution had to be design-respecting and data-driven.
